Tamil version of 'Bharat @ 2026' calendar launched in Chennai

CHENNAI: Union Minister of State L Murugan released the Tamil version of the Government of India’s official calendar, ‘Bharat @ 2026’, in Chennai today. This marks the first official release of the calendar in Tamil within the state.

Murugan stated the calendar serves as a roadmap reflecting India’s progress and development, aiming toward the goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. He highlighted that the calendar, now available in over 13 Scheduled Languages besides Hindi and English, ensures wider inclusivity.

Each month is dedicated to a flagship government programme, focusing on themes from self-reliance and farmer welfare to infrastructure, youth empowerment, and cultural heritage. Senior officials from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting were present at the event.
