Special passport mela on Sept 7

The Regional Passport Office will organise ‘Special Passport Mela’ on Saturday, September 7, at Post Office Passport Seva Kendras in Vellore, Kallakurichi and Krishnagiri. The passport mela aims to facilitate submission of applications for frequent travellers.

Passport Seva Kendra will accept applications only as per time slots allotted to the applicants on the given date. As many as 170 applicants are expected to participate and benefit from this Mela. A press release issued by the Regional Passport Office stated that the applicants have to log on to official website ‘www.passportindia.gov.in’, register on-line, generate Application Registration Number (ARN), and pay online fees and then take an appointment to participate. The applicants are also expected to bring a print-out of the ARN with appointment details to the POPSK along with the requisite documents in originals, plus one set of self-attested photocopies. Applications under fresh and re-issue categories will be accepted. The appointments will be released on September 4 at 2.30 pm for the eligible participants.
