Special camp at Aranvoyal for pregnant women held

The camp was organised in Aranvoyal and was presided over by Poonamalee MLA Krishnaswami. Over 20 pregnant women were given nutrition kits to ensure a healthy pregnancy journey.

CHENNAI: A special camp under former chief minister M Karunanidhi’s ‘Varumun Kappom’ scheme was held for pregnant women in Tiruvallur on Saturday.

The camp was organised in Aranvoyal and was presided over by Poonamalee MLA Krishnaswami. Over 20 pregnant women were given nutrition kits to ensure a healthy pregnancy journey.

The nutrition kit contains health tonics, iron tablets, dates, ghee, health mix etc that pregnant women can consume over the course of their pregnancy and benefit from.
