PWD Minister inspects Anna Centenary Library renovation

Almost 90 per cent work is done, and reconstruction is expected to be completed by September end, the minister told media after inspection.

CHENNAI: Minister of Public Works, Highways and Minor Ports Department EV Velu inspected the renovation work of Anna Centenary Library in Kotturpuram on Friday.

In October 2021, a total cost of Rs 32.49 crore was allocated to renovate the building. Out of which Rs.18.26 crore for civil works, Rs.14.23 crore has also been allocated for electrical work and the work is in progress.

Almost 90 per cent work is done, and reconstruction is expected to be completed by September end, the minister told media after inspection.
