Pulse oximeters, thermal scanners for Secretariat staff

A day after DT Next carried a report on increasing COVID-19 cases in the Secretariat, the Public (Buildings) department, on Thursday, wrote to all department secretaries asking them to purchase pulse oximeters and thermal scanners for routine checking of their staff.

“It has been brought to our notice that COVID cases are on the rise in the Secretariat. Hence, all OP sections of departments of Secretariat are requested to purchase pulse oximeters to check oxygen levels and thermal scanners for checking temperature of their department staff on a daily basis and record,” said P Senthil Kumar, secretary, Public (Buildings) department, in a letter addressed to all department secretaries.
