Pooja holiday: Buses from Chennai to ply from these 3 locations

Buses to other cities, including Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Bengaluru, Salem and others that are not operated from Poonamallee and Tambaram would leave from Koyambedu CMBT.

CHENNAI: In order to manage the huge crowd of passengers, who would leave for their hometowns during pooja holiday, the State Transport Department has decided to operate buses from three locations instead of one location on Friday and Saturday.

The department statement said that the buses to Vellore, Arani, Hosur, Kancheepuram, Arcot, Tirupattur, Seyyar, Tirutani and Tirupati would be operated from Poonamallee bus stand.

Buses to plying via Dindivanam to Tiruvannamalai, Pondicherry, Panruti, Neyveli, Chidambaram, Kattumannarkoil, Cuddalore, buses plying via Gingee, Vandavasi, Polur and Chetpet will be operated from Tambaram MEPZ.

Buses to other cities, including Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Bengaluru, Salem and others that are not operated from Poonamallee and Tambaram would leave from Koyambedu CMBT.
