CHENNAI: Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board urged property owners to pay water tax and charges before September 30 to avoid payment of surcharge.
To ensure hassle-free payment of water tax and surcharges, the CMWSSB would be operating all the collection centres in the area and depot offices and head office at Chintadripet would be functioning all the weekdays and Saturdays as well.
Consumers can also make payments of water tax and charges online using their credit card, debit card and net banking. Offline payment at counters could be made through cheques and cash.
An official release said that the consumers should pay water tax and charges before September 30 to help in the development of the CMWSSB.
Payment before deadline also helps the consumers avoid payment of the surcharges.
