North East Monsoon: Kalaignar Centenary park closed for next 4 days

The Kalaignar Centenary Park at Cathedral road would not function from Tuesday, October 15 to Friday, October 18, a release from the Horticulture Department said.

CHENNAI: In view of the heavy rain forecasting, the Horticulture and Plantation Crops department on Monday announced that the newly-opened Kalaignar Centenary Park would not function till October 18.

Following the Orange and Red alert warning to Chennai city and suburbs, the Kalaignar Centenary Park at Cathedral road would not function from Tuesday, October 15 to Friday, October 18, a release from the Horticulture Department said.

The park was inaugurated on October 7 by Chief Minister M K Stalin and attracted thousands of visitors till Monday.
