MLA’s wife too tests positive

Days after the Sriperumbudur MLA was tested positive for coronavirus, his wife, too, was found to be infected and was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday.

After testing positive last week, AIADMK legislator K Palani was admitted to a private hospital in the outskirts of the city.

Following this, the officials isolated 13 persons who were in close contact with him, including his family members.

After showing symptoms associated with coronavirus infection, on Tuesday, it was confirmed that his wife was also infected by the virus. She was soon admitted to a private hospital, said sources, adding that Palani was recovering.
