Missing 4-year-old girl found dead

A four-year-old girl who went missing from her home near Vellavadu on Sunday afternoon was found dead with injuries on her face on Monday. Police suspect that the girl could have been murdered by some neighbours of the victim.

The victim lived with her parents in a brick kiln, according to the police.


On Sunday evening, the girl’s parents noticed that she was missing. Upon enquiry, they found that two young men, had taken the girl out. “Later that evening, the parents found the two men drunk and filed a missing compliant,” a police official said.


On Monday morning, the police found the girl’s body in an industrial area near Vellavedu. “We are trying to find out if the victim was sexually assaulted before she was killed,” a senior police official said.
