Metrowater tax counters to be opened on Sunday

A Metrowater press release said that counters in area offices, depot offices and head office will be opened between 8.30 am and 1.30 pm on Sunday.

CHENNAI: Tax counters of Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (Metrowater) will remain open on Sunday as the last for paying water and sewage taxes falls on September 30.

A Metrowater press release said that counters in area offices, depot offices and head office will be opened between 8.30 am and 1.30 pm on Sunday.

Usually, the counters would remain open from Monday to Saturday only.

Also, consumers can also pay their taxes through Metrowater website using credit and debit cards and net banking. Residents can pay by cash or cheque at the counters.

"Consumers should pay taxes before September 30 and contribute to the infrastructure works carried out by the Metrowater," the release requested.
