Officials from the Air Customs intercepted two parcels that arrived from the Netherlands at Foreign Post Office based on suspicion that they contained narcotic substances. On opening the first parcel, they found 105 MDMA tablets marked ‘PP’, known among drug users as ‘Philipp Plein’. The parcel was addressed to one person in city, but with an incomplete address.

When they checked the second parcel, officials found 60 MDMA tablets known as ‘Blue Punisher’ embossed with skull mark. Each one contains around 300 mg of MDMA, which is a very high dose. The parcel arrived from Zwolle, a city in the north-eastern Netherlands, and was addressed to a person in Tirupur. When checked, officials found that the address was that of a textile company with fake consignee name. In all, 165 MDMA tablets valued at Rs 5 lakhs were recovered.
