Man on lookout by Namakkal police detained at Chennai airport

The immigration officials were checking the passengers from Frankfurt on Lufthansa Airlines, when they found one passenger, Arun of Namakkal, was wanted by the Namakkal police in a woman harassment case for the last three years.

CHENNAI: A 36-year-old man on the lookout by Namakkal police was detained at the airport here on Wednesday. The immigration officials were checking the passengers from Frankfurt on Lufthansa Airlines, when they found one passenger, Arun of Namakkal, was wanted by the Namakkal police in a woman harassment case for the last three years. The officials detained Arun and during the inquiry found that cases were registered against Arun in woman harassment and two other sections in 2019 and when the police were about to arrest him, he managed to escape abroad. Later, the Namakkal police issued LOC to all airports in India. A special team from Namakkal would soon arrive to take Arun into custody.
