CHENNAI: A 64-year-old man died after collapsing during a public meeting addressed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin in Erode during his election campaigning on Thursday (April 2).
The deceased has been identified as V Ravichandran, a resident of Veerappanchatram in Erode. He had attended the Chief Minister’s meeting when he suddenly fainted at the venue.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead. The cause of death was identified as cardiac arrest.
The meeting continued after a brief interruption following the incident.
