Man attempts to end life in Koyambedu, admitted to hosp with multiple fractures

A 40-year-old man jumped from the Koyambedu flyover to end his life on Tuesday evening but survived with multiple fractures.

Gowtham Sardar of Bihar is a daily wage labourer. He chose this extreme step while being under the influence of alcohol over a family dispute, said police. Around 4 pm, Gowtham climbed the flyover and jumped from a height of about 20 ft. Passersby rushed him to Kilpauk Medical College Hospital where he has been undergoing treatment. Police said that Gowtham suffered multiple fractures in the fall. CMBT police are inquiring about the incident.
