Lions Club launches monthly free Pink Kit initiative in Chennai

CHENNAI: Lions International District 3241 F has launched a monthly free Pink Kit initiative for underprivileged girls and women, including mothers, to promote menstrual hygiene and healthy living.

The initiative was launched by Lions District Governor Uma Anilkumar at an event held in KK Nagar. Women and girls in need can register with Lions International to receive Pink Kits free of cost every month.

The event also featured awareness sessions on breast and cervical cancer, with participants being briefed on the importance of preventive healthcare and regular screening. Past District Governor Praveenlal, Second Vice District Governor Mohammed, and Lions district office-bearers Udayakumar, Sivakumar, Gopinath, Rajeshkumar and Shamily were among those who participated in the programme.

The initiative is aimed at supporting women from underprivileged backgrounds while improving awareness of menstrual hygiene and women's health.
