Kejriwal reaches Chennai ahead of Puthumai Pen scheme launch

CHENNAI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reached Chennai late on Sunday. He will inaugurate the Puthumai Pen scheme of Tamil Nadu government along with chief minister M K Stalin at a women’s college in the city early Monday.

State school education minister Mahesh Poyyamozhi received the Delhi chief minister at the city airport in the company of DMK and AAP cadres.

Kejriwal will be leaving the city for the national capital on Monday evening.

One of the flagship schemes of the Tamil Nadu government, the ruling DMK intends to distribute Rs 1,000 per girl college student pursuing higher education.

Stalin thanks Pinarayi Vijayan

Chief Minister M K Stalin on Sunday congratulated and thanked his Kerala counterpart Pinarayi Vijayan for organizing the just concluded Southern zonal council meeting. In a demi official letter written to Vijayan, Stalin said, “I write this to congratulate you for successfully conducting the south zone council meeting at Thiruvananthapuram yesterday.” “It was a pleasure to be your guest during the past two days and enjoy the thoughtful hospitality extended to us. I wish to thank you for the same and I am sure that we will take forward the initiatives recently mooted to the next level soon, ” Stalin added.
