Karanodai Tasmac shop may be shifted

Dozens of Karanodai residents staged a protest on Thursday against the opening of a new Tasmac outlet in their neighbourhood.

A new Tasmac outlet was sanctioned to be opened on Thursday in Munivel nagar, Karanodai. As the news spread, around 50 residents of Munivel Nagar and surrounding areas staged a protest outside the proposed Tasmac outlet at 10 am. They claimed that the outlet would create a menace since there were residential homes and schools in the neighbourhood. Following this, Police rushed to the spot and said, “Tasmac opening was put off due to the protests and efforts were on to shift the location to another venue.” After the assurance, the protestors dispersed from the venue.
