CHENNAI: A 29-year-old woman, a junior artiste in film industry, allegedly died of suicide at her apartment in Virugambakkam on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as A Deepa alias Powlen Jessica. She was living alone at an apartment in Virugambakkam.
On Saturday afternoon, a friend of the woman who came home found her dead. Virugambakkam police registered a case under section 174 CrPC and are investigating.
Preliminary investigations revealed that she was upset over troubles in her personal life. Deepa has acted in roles in Tamil serials and has appeared as junior artiste in few films.
