CHENNAI: A student of Chennai college on Monday accused that she was sexually assaulted by an auto driver when she and her friend were returning from East Coast Madras to a hotel by an auto.
The student, narrating her ordeal on Twitter told that the driver sexually assaulted her while her friend was making the payment.
As they tried to stop him, the driver managed to escape, she wrote.
Semmenchery Police on Monday gathered details from the complainant and are investigating. Using the details provided by the victim and after investigations, police have identified the suspect, the auto driver.
Police said that they have launched a search for the auto driver, who is absconding.
