CHENNAI: The Gender and Policy Lab housed within the Greater Chennai Corporation is seeking logo designs. The prize money of Rs 10,000 will be given to the best selected logo, said city mayor R Priya on Saturday.

The Gender and Policy lab was created by the Tamil Nadu government under the Nirbhaya scheme of Chennai Corporation implemented with the help of the World Bank and inaugurated by Chennai mayor on April 1, 2022.

"The initiative is working with a multi-sector approach to monitor the Nirbhaya programme, create policies and create awareness, and make public spaces and public transport safer and more women-friendly, " said Priya.

The civic body authorities decided to create a logo for the policy with public participation. The competition's goal is to elicit public participation in creating India’s first Gender and Policy lab logo in an urban corporation that the citizens can identify with.

Those interested can create logos and send them to suggestions.gpl@gmail.com. Further, the explanations and regulations in this regard have been uploaded to the quick links section of the official GCC website.
