CHENNAI: The flight services between Chennai and Andhra Pradesh were affected due to the impact of Cyclone Montha. Six flights from AP to Chennai and 3 from Chennai to AP were cancelled.
These include Indigo services from Visakhapatnam to Chennai at 9:45 am, 1:45 pm, and 7:20 pm, Rajahmundry to Chennai at 1:35 pm, and Vijayawada to Chennai at 1:40 pm and 9:05 pm.
Indigo flights scheduled to depart from Chennai to Rajahmundry at 10 am, Vijayawada at 3:55 pm, and Visakhapatnam at 6:15 pm were also cancelled. Airport authorities confirmed that passengers were informed about the cancellations before reaching the airport.
All passengers were asked to check flight schedules directly with the respective airlines or online before coming to the airport.
