Four arrested for possession of meth, OG ganja in Chennai

CHENNAI: Four persons, including a collection agent, were arrested for possession and peddling of methamphetamine and OG ganja in Seven Wells. The arrested were identified as Jaanam Jain (26), Doma Chaupal (38), Nirmal Narayanan (23) and Kalla Kumar Nath (22).

Based on a tip-off about the movement of narcotic substances in Seven Wells police limits, the ANIU team of the city police was on vigil on Rangapillai Garden Street and secured the suspects on suspicion. They recovered 4 grams of methamphetamine, 3 grams of OG ganja, and 9 grams of ganja from them.

Jaanam Jain of Sowcarpet was working as a collection agent while Chaupal worked with a catering group. The other two were employed with private firms, police said.

All four of them were produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
