Father-son duo among 3 held for making wine

Kodungaiyur police have arrested three persons, including a father-son duo, for making wine at home.

As much as 30 litres of grape wine and five litres of rice beer were seized from them. The accused were identified as Loveleen Thomas (56), his son Bradly Thomas (26) of Kodungaiyur and their friend G Pandian (23) of Madhavaram.

Based on a tip-off, police raided a house at Narasimhan Nagar and arrested the trio. Two days ago, Tondiarpet police had arrested a 34-year-old man and seized five litres of carrot beer from him. The State has witnessed quite a few similar incidents recently with Tasmac shops lying shut for last 40 days.
