The Commissioner of Chennai Corporation G Prakash said on Saturday during a COVID-19 awareness campaign held in Ayanavaram that e-pass can be acquired by submitting Aadhaar card and advised people not to approach brokers for obtaining it. He mentioned that the issuance of e-pass has increased by 30-35 percent.

During his speech, he also stated that the number of recovered patients in Chennai has increased by 87.05 percent so far. He also assured that medical examinations are being done on a daily basis.

The Commissioner appreciated the people saying,"Coronavirus cases in Chennai has decreased compared to the initial stages of the pandemic because of cooperation from the people". He added that COVID-19 prevention works would continue for the next 3-4 months.
