Election Commission appoints 979 BLOs to receive filled-out revision forms in Chennai

The exercise would be conducted on all days excluding festival days, from 10 am to 6 pm.

CHENNAI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has appointed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for 979 polling booths to receive and complete voter roll revision forms in all 16 Assembly constituencies in Chennai till January 18.

The exercise would be conducted on all days excluding festival days, from 10 am to 6 pm.

A press release from the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) said, "The BLOs will provide forms for adding, deleting and correcting voter names in the designated polling station locations.

The recently published draft voter list will be kept at each ward office and polling station. It can also be viewed on the EC website (voters' service portal)."

Those who do not have their names on the draft voters' list can obtain, complete, and submit the forms to add, delete, or correct voter names to the appointed BLO. "For more information in this regard, citizens can contact the GCC control centre number 1913," added the release from the Chennai Corporation.
