Elderly woman travels from Karunanidhi's home town to meet him

Rathinambal came all the way from Thirukkuvalai in Nagapattinam district, to meet the ailing DMK chief M Karunanidhi. Rathinambal mentioned that Kalaignar Karunanidhi had solemnized her wedding and that moment is very close to her heart.

Rathinambal came all the way from Thirukkuvalai in Nagapattinam district, to meet the ailing DMK chief M Karunanidhi.

According to a Twitter handle @nithya_shre, Rathinambal on hearing the news about the ailing DMK chief, travelled almost 330 km from her home town Thirukkuvalai in Nagapattinam district. Thirukkuvalai also happens to be the home town of DMK supremo M Karunanidhi.

On hearing this, DMK MLA PK Sekar Babu escorted her to meet, MK Stalin. Owing to his ill-health, no one was allowed to meet Kalaignar.

Later she was escorted back and MLA Sekar Babu ensured that she had enough money to return back to Thirukkuvalai.
