CHENNAI: Since her childhood, Bhanu Priya Mathi has been into journaling. As art gives her much-needed mental peace from the stress of juggling her job as a software professional and her personal life, she decided to delve deeper and conduct workshops.
“I wanted to bring different types of art workshops under one roof. When I started with journaling, I was able to expand my network by attending workshops and interacting with fellow artists and enthusiasts,” says Bhanu, who runs an Instagram page, GetBhanufied. After the success of her first workshop, The Art Affair, last year, Bhanu is back with its second edition.
As Valentine’s Day approaches, Bhanu, along with her husband Vijay Amirtharaj, has curated special art workshops to strengthen bonds. “This is meant not just for couples, but also for friends, siblings and parents,” she adds.
The eight different types of workshops include string art, mandala art, dreamcatcher making, hotwheels and photo bouquet, pottery, handcuff canvas painting, resin art and T-shirt painting. “Experts and budding artists will be conducting the workshops for participants. The whole idea of the event is to build a space for fellow artists to network, build their base and also learn more,” Bhanu shares.
