Covid cases in Chennai cross 100 again

Chengalpattu had 32 cases and Kanniyakumari 24 cases.

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu reported a slight surge in the cases of Covid as 447 cases were reported on Thursday, taking the total number of cases so far in the State to 35,75,380.

The fresh cases in Chennai crossed the 100 mark as 102 cases were reported, while 58 cases were recorded in Coimbatore.

Chengalpattu had 32 cases and Kanniyakumari 24 cases.

The test positivity rate (TPR) in Tamil Nadu stood at 2.5 per cent, after 18,357 samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

The highest TPR of 6.4 was reported in Coimbatore.

Meanwhile, the active cases in the State stood at 4,794 with the highest number of active cases in Chennai at 2,257.
