Community baby shower held

TIRUVALLUR: A community baby shower programme was held for expectant women at Vepampattu Panchayat near Tiruvallur by the Integrated Child Development and Social Welfare and Women’s Rights Department on Monday.

Poonamallee MLA A Krishnasamy who inaugurated and presided over the function, distributed a kit containing essential products that can be used by both mother and baby to more than 100 expectant women.

He also distributed several nutritious products, including fruits and vitamins to the mothers-to-be in order to improve their health during the pregnancy period. Several district officials participated in the function and wished the expectant mothers safe delivery.
