CHENNAI: A man was arrested on Saturday for sexually harassing a college student inside a movie theatre in Triplicane on Thursday night. The victim, a 22-year-old second-year undergraduate student, went to a theatre on Anna Salai with her uncle to watch a movie.

Police said the accused first sexually harassed her outside the movie hall and did the same when she was in the theatre too. When the woman's uncle questioned him, the latter abused and threatened them before fleeing from the spot.

Based on the complaint at the Triplicane police station, police registered a case and arrested the accused, Rajesh (25) of Border Thottam. He was produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
