CHENNAI: For the passengers’ convenience, the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has opened additional entries at Egmore and Washermenpet Metro station on Tuesday. This will also enable better passenger movement considering both stations have high footfall. Also, the entry has been equipped with lifts and escalators in both stations, noted a CMRL press note.

In November, the CMRL had opened additional entries with lifts and escalators at Guindy station as well. Meanwhile, CMRL ridership declined to 83.61 lakh in November from 90.83 lakh in October.
