CMRL launches feeder service from airport to Pammal, MEPZ

The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) on Thursday launched a feeder service from Airport metro station to Pammal and MEPZ to provide last-mile connectivity.

According to a CMRL official, Tempo Traveller vans have been arranged from Airport metro station to Pammal and MEPZ. Commuters using the service will be charged a flat rate of Rs 20.


The vans ply from Alandur metro station to DLF IT park and to Tidel Park, Ramanujam IT Park in Taramani from Little Mount Station and Alandur metro station to Velachery.


There are also other feeder services available from metro stations, including share auto and share taxi services, small buses from MTC, Metro cabs and electric bikes. Sources claimed that the CMRL is planning to replace share auto and share taxi services with metro cabs across all 32 stations.
