CHENNAI: From October 20 till October 22, the CMRL will be extending its peak hour services till 10 pm on account of Deepavali.
On the account of Deepavali, the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has extended the peak hour train service till 10 pm from October 20 till October 22 with a headway of 5 minutes.
As per CMRL press note, the regular peak hour of Metro train service is between 5 pm and 8 pm. However, owing to Deepavali festival, the peak hour has been extended till 10 pm from October 20 till October 22.
Additionally, to ensure quick movement during the evening peak hours, CMRL has also increased the frequency of train services in less than 5 minutes between 5pm and 8 pm on these three days.
The extension of service till 10 pm is only on these three days, clarified CMRL.
