Class 9 boy dies after falling from moving bus in Pallikaranai

CHENNAI: A Class 9 boy who suffered injuries after falling from the moving MTC bus in Pallikaranai died without responding to treatment on Thursday.

The deceased was Arya (14) of Perumbakkam, a student of the Perumbakkam government high school. On September 8, Arya, who was returning home on the Tambaram-Adyar MTC bus, lost his grip while on the footboard and came under the rear wheels of the same bus. He was admitted in critical condition to the Chromepet GH.

Later, he was shifted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General hospital. Arya, who was under treatment for nearly a month, died without responding to treatments on Thursday night. The police sent the body for post-mortem examination and the Pallikaranai Traffic investigation police have registered a case and further inquiry is on.
