The new foot overbridges (FOBs) would come on Luz Church Road near Luz Corner, LB Road near Adyar bus depot, Sardar Patel Road near Anna University, Arcot Road near Vijaya Forum Mall, Anna Nagar Second Avenue near Ayyappan Temple, Anna Nagar Third Avenue near Kandasamy College and Purasaiwalkam High Road near Abirami Mega Mall, announced Municipal Administration and Water Supply Minister SP Velumani in the Assembly. “All of them will be constructed using the Corporation’s capital fund,” Velumani said. A Corporation official said consultants would soon be appointed to prepare detailed project report to analyse vehicle and pedestrian movement at these locations. The minister also announced that 200 acres of land in Perungudi, now being used as dumping yard, would be reclaimed through bio-mining process.
