Chennai: Intruders decamp with gold, diamonds

CHENNAI: Unidentified intruders decamped with gold worth Rs 25 lakh, diamonds and silver articles from a house at Vengadamangalam near Vandalur.

Kathiravan, 36, an A-C mechanic, was out for work while his wife, Uma Maheswari, a private IT firm employee, was at her mother’s house in Velachery when the robbery happened.

The couple, on their return at night, found the front door broken open.

There were no CCTV cameras in the vicinity.
