Chennai gold price remains unchanged, silver price increases on May 8, 2026

CHENNAI: After an increase of Rs 400 per sovereign (8 grams) on May 7, gold remains unchanged on May 8.

The yellow metal is now priced at Rs 1,13,200 per sovereign and Rs 14,150 per gram, with no change.

Silver prices increases

Silver prices increases by Rs 5 to sell for Rs 280 per gram (Rs 2,80,000 per kg) on May 8. On May 7, silver was sold at Rs 275 per gram (Rs 2,75,000 per kg).
