Chennai girl ends life hours after NEET result

The deceased was identified as Lakshana Swedha, a resident of Cholapuram, Indira Nagar in Thirumullaivoyal.

CHENNAI: Within hours after the midnight announcement of NEET result, a 19-year-old girl killed herself in Chennai.

The deceased was identified as Lakshana Swedha, a resident of Cholapuram, Indira Nagar in Thirumullaivoyal.

The girl , who is studying for MBBS in Philippines, was hopeful of clearing NEET and as she could not clear it, she took the extreme step at her home, police said.

The police has shifted the body of the girl to Kilpauk medical College for post-mortem examination. Further investigations are on, police said.
