CHENNAI: A 21-year-old woman, a college student, was killed in a road accident on Anna Salai on Saturday after a MTC bus knocked her two-wheeler down and ran over her

 in a road accident on Anna Salai on Saturday after a MTC bus knocked her two-wheeler down and ran over her. The deceased was identified as S Devasena.

Police said that Devasena was pursuing an engineering degree at a private college in Porur. On Saturday, she had gone to visit her father, Senthil Kumar, at his workplace in Nandanam.

She was riding back to her home in Saidapet, when she met with the accident. As she was riding along Anna Salai, a MTC bus behind her, hit her making Devasena lose her balance and fall under the wheels of the bus.

She died on the spot, police said. Adyar TIW (Traffic Investigation Wing) police have registered a case against the bus driver.
