Chennai Airport to shift IndiGo ATR departures to Terminal 4 amid expansion works

All IndiGo Airlines ATR aircraft, currently departing from Terminal 1 will now operate from Terminal 4.

CHENNAI: The Indigo ATR Flights, which are supposed to depart from Terminal 1, will depart from the fourth terminal on Sunday, following the airport expansion work.

From Chennai, a total of 32 ATR flights to Madurai, Tiruchy, Thoothukudi, Salem, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Kozhikode, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry are usually operated in a day and depart from Terminal 1 of the Chennai airport. But, from Sunday, the flights will depart from the T4.

It should be noted that only departures have been subjected to change. The arrivals will continue as usual at Terminal 1. This change in the terminal was implemented by the AAI following the ongoing airport expansion work in Terminal 3 and to reduce the congestion in Terminal 1.
