Central Railway station renamed in the remembrance of MGR - Government issues orders

The Tamil Nadu Government has passed an order to rename the Central Railway station to 'Puratchi Thalaivar Doctor M.G.Ramachandran Central Railway Station'.

While addressing a public gathering on March 6, Prime Minister Modi in  Vandalur, Chennai, he had announced that the Central Railway Station will be renamed in remembrance of late CM MGR.

Eventually, Tamil Nadu government had passed a GO on April 5, announcing that the central station will hereafter be called as 'Puratchi Thalaivar Doctor M.G.Ramachandran Central Railway Station'.
