Police said that the couple had gone to Karaikal to attend a wedding reception on Sunday. Around 2.30 am, while they were returning to Chennai on ECR, Abdul, who was driving the car, lost control of the vehicle when nearing Vayaloor village near Kalpakkam. Both of them died on the spot in the impact. On information, the Sadras police team rushed to the spot, retrieved the bodies and sent them to the Chenagalpattu GH for autopsy.
