CHENNAI: Chennai Police on Monday arrested three more youths in connection with bike stunts on Anna Salai, in which two teenagers were arrested.
A video of these youngsters’ dangerous stunts went viral on social media on Friday, after which police launched a hunt.
Two teenagers and college students, N Mohammad Harris, 19, and Mohammad Saiban, 19 - residents of Ambur in Thirupathur district were arrested last Friday.
In the video clips, the duo were seen riding dangerously (wheeling) near Teynampet police station station, moving towards Anna Flyover.
Other motorists had recorded the teens’ bike stunts and shared them on social media. On Monday police arrested friends of the duo, who too performed bike stunts and recorded videos of the teenagers, by trailing them.
The arrested youths were identified as Feroze Malik (19) of Royapettah, Imran Ali Khan (19) and Mukesh (20) of Perambur.
Police said that they would increase patrol in the arterial stretches like Kamarajar Salai, Anna Salai which are prone for such bike stunts.
