In the petition, G Mahesh (37) of Uthandi said he collected Rs 4 crore as loan from Harbhajan Singh against his property in Thalambur as security. Mahesh claimed he repaid Rs 4.05 crore but was unable to complete the process of consolidation of interest. He came to know recently that Harbhajan had lodged a complaint against him at Neelankarai police range and that an FIR has been registered against him. When contacted, the city police did not confirm whether an FIR has been registered based on Harbhajan Singh’s complaint.
