CHENNAI: Vegetable prices at the Koyambedu wholesale market in Chennai witnessed minor fluctuations on January 29 (Thursday), with beans and beetroot recording a fall compared to the previous day, while most other vegetables remained stable.

Beans and beetroot prices

Beans dropped by Rs 10 per kg from Rs 40 to Rs 30 per kg. Beetroot prices also eased to Rs 35 per kg from Rs 25, decreasing by Rs 10 kg.

Prices of most vegetables remain unchanged

According to traders, onions, tomatoes, potatoes, continue to be sold at same price as compared to yesterday.

Onions are priced at Rs 22 per kg, tomatoes are priced at Rs 25 per kg, potatoes are priced at Rs 20 per kg.

Drumstick continues to be sold at Rs 100 per kg, while ginger is sold at Rs 70 per kg and garlic is sold at Rs 100 per kg.

Corainder and mint leaves are sold at Rs 5 and Rs 3 per bunch, respectively.
