“Bansal will guide the preparation and implementation of micro-level plans in the high risk zones of GCC,” said Chief Secretary K Shanmugam, in a Government Order (GO).

Though the state appointed Commissioner of Revenue Administration J Radhakrishnan as nodal officer for GCC and Zonal Field Support teams there is no relief.

The Chief Secretary, who was unhappy with the action taken by the Commissioner of GCC G Prakash, had reportedly written a letter to him to change the strategies of the GCC. Following the letter Chief Secretary had appointed Bansal, who will report directly to him. “Bansal is assigned to the headquarters of GCC for analysis and working out appropriate intervention strategy and will update the status to Chief Secretary on a daily basis,” he said.

Bansal will also coordinate with the Zonal Field Support teams and support Nodal Officer and GCC Commissioner to work out appropriate intervention strategies and implementation at high risk zones and other zones of GCC.
