What is the concept of authorpreneur? How does it help a writer? 

For most writers, their task ends with writing the book. But if you see successful authors like Chetan Bhagat and Amish Tripathi, they have great marketing skills. Our recently-launched Accelerator Program is aimed at accelerating the sales of the books. We are identifying authors who have sold 300 copies and have 30 positive reviews and plan to help them boost their book sales and give them a stake in the sales as well.

How does self-publishing help writers? How many authors have published so far under the programme? 

Publishers are more often looking at authors with credentials. First timers don’t stand a chance. We have been working on the bottlenecks that new writers face and try to make their content more discoverable. We have around 40,000 writers under our various programmes. This year, we have published close to 1,200 books primarily in English. We have been working on the infrastructure to expand our publishing base in Hindi and Tamil languages.
