AMMK treasurer Vetrivel passed away on Thursday due to COVID 19. He was admitted in a private hospital in Chennai on October 6 after being tested positive for coronavirus.
He was placed in ICU after his health condition deteriorated on Wednesday.
He was a former MLA of Tamil Nadu and one of the loyal confidants of AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran.
