AirAsia flight makes emergency landing in Chennai after mid-air technical snag

CHENNAI: The Kuala Lumpur-Kozhikode flight made an emergency landing at Chennai airport following a technical snag mid-air on Thursday midnight.

The AirAsia flight from Kuala Lumpur was bound for Kozhikode with 166 passengers and crew on Thursday night.

Around 11:50 pm on Thursday, the pilot detected a technical issue and made an emergency landing in Chennai after getting clearance.

Passengers were accommodated in various hotels in Chennai. After repairs, the flight departed for Kerala on Friday evening.
